Il Picciolo Golf Club is located in a natural amphitheatre on the north-eastern region of the mountain, part of the Etna’s natural park and close to popular tourism destination such as Taormina, Siracusa and Catania.
The course has been designed, meandering through ancient lava flows, by the renowned golf architect and designer Luigi Rota Caremoli, the only Italian to be admitted to the British Golf Course Architects; whom has followed the morphology of the land offering remarkable hints and variants thus creating a course which surely will not be forgotten by visitors and players. The holes are surrounded by hazelnuts and oak woods, pine trees, eucalyptus and vineyards; offering a special suggestive atmosphere.
